California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill Sunday that will prevent grocery shops from offering plastic baggage to clients starting in 2026. 

The laws comes 10 years after the state banned plastic grocery baggage and required shops to distribute reusable or recyclable plastic baggage.

State Sen. Catherine Blakespear (D) described the brand new measure as a “easy” strategy to decreasing air pollution.
