President Trump tore into Kristen Welker, moderator of NBC’s “Meet The Press,” over her questioning of a Republican lawmaker a couple of Sign leak of Pentagon assault plans that has consumed headlines for the previous week.
“Kristen Welker’s total first half hour of the Lowly Rated Meet the Pretend Press this morning, was dedicated to the boring Sign Witch Hunt,” Trump wrote Sunday night on his Truth Social platform. “She doesn’t need to discuss intimately about something that issues like how effectively we’re doing in opposition to the Houthis, substantive Peace Talks with Russia and Ukraine or, Iran, Iran, Iran.”
Welker pressed Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.), a member of the Senate Armed Companies Committee, on Sunday over the incident, during which a journalist was added to a bunch chat during which Trump administration officers deliberate an assault on Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Trump has repeatedly dismissed the disclosure, revealed in The Atlantic, calling it “boring” and accusing media retailers of “obsessing” over the breach.
“Comcast’s MSNBC and NBC have fought me for years, spending virtually all of their waking hours making up Pretend Tales — and look, I’m PRESIDENT, with actually excessive Ballot Numbers and Nice Accomplishments,” Trump wrote.
